Partial Re-location of RPH Services to Fiona Stanely Hospital in 2013

In response to the recommendations made in the Health Reform Committee's final report and the Clinical Services Consultation in 2005, WA Health has developed its strategic overview for clinical services in this State.
See WA Health Clinical Services Framework 2005-2015

WA Health – a great place to work

The State Government is investing $5 billion to build new hospitals and improve existing hospitals throughout Western Australia.

The $1.76 billion Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth’s southern suburbs is due for completion in late 2013, ahead of opening in 2014. It will need more than 3000 staff to deliver world-class health services in a large, state-of-the-art facility linked to private and public education and research facilities.

Expanded health services to meet growing community demand mean there will be more jobs available at more locations. The Department of Health will be doing everything it can to retain existing staff and attract new staff.

A Workforce Plan designed to help retain and attract some of the finest clinical and non-clinical staff to WA Health is now under development.
