Royal Perth Hospital is committed to evidence-based practice. Nursing Practice Standards provide direction in relation to current legislation, mandatory considerations and nursing practice. These are available to staff via the RPH intranet.
This unique portfolio facilitates the continued development of new Nursing Practice Standards, associated Competencies and Self Directed Learning Packages.
We are resourced as a bench mark nationally and provide leadership in the development of metropolitan wide Nursing Practice Standards.
The Evidence Based Practice portfolio is a component of the Education Centre at RPH. It is responsible for the processes that involve assisting nurses to search current literature, critique and incorporate the best available relevant evidence into clinical practice.
Education through workshops and presentations provide staff with the appropriate skills and knowledge for practical application of evidence based nursing.
