This service has operated since December 2000 caring for haematology and oncology patients of Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Fremantle Hospital.
The service provides patient assessment and education, specimen collection, administration of cytotoxics, TPN, drugs and infusions.
Nurses working in this area are required to care for venous access devices and be competent to cannulate. The service operates 5 days/ week.
