Ophthalmology Clinic is staffed by consultants, registrars, 1 resident, 2 clinical nurses, and 2 enrolled nurses.
The clinic sees up to 100 patients per day.
Services provided are visual acuity, A/K scans, keratometry, Humphrey and Goldman field analysers, fundal photography, fluorescein angiograms and Argon Laser. There is a minor theatre where excision of pterygiums, tarsorrhaphy, gas exchanges and lid surgery can be performed.
The clinic also has a visiting optometrist and orthoptist. Pre and post op consultation is provided and emergency assessment for traumatic eye injuries can be seen from the Emergency Department.
